The Funeral Luncheon Team provides hospitality to a grieving family at the time of the funeral or memorial service.
The team consists of:
- Funeral Luncheon Coordinators: Contacted by the church office with the needs of the family, the coordinators arrange the luncheon to the specifications of the family, purchase food as needed, and contact the serving team and dessert team members.
- Serving Team: Set up tables to provide a warm welcome, prepare food for serving, maintain supply of food items that may need to be replenished.
- Dessert Team: Provide cookies, cakes, desserts as desired for the luncheon.
- Clean-up Team: Clear tables and wash dishes as needed.
Team members do not need to be available for all luncheons. Because funerals are not planned, you will be contacted to help but may but may only have a couple days notice. Don't worry if it does not fit your schedule. Help as you can. Sign up here if you would like to join this serving team.
